About Me
My name is Molly and I am a NCPI (Nationally Certified Pilates Instructor).
My passion is helping others find healing through Pilates while integrating somatic work.
I started my Pilates journey in early 2021 when I found myself needing a bit of motivation to get fit after losing over 100lbs. I was not physically able to go to the gym due to my knees. I had done Pilates years ago and remembered how much I loved it. I quickly found a studio and never looked back. After a year of being in classes 3-5 times a week, I knew this was what I wanted to do.
I have always wanted to help people and had no idea it would turn into this. In 2022 I started teaching at the studio I was a member at and went through their certification process. I quickly realized that while I loved the studio, it wasn’t where I was meant to be. I did some research and found a 6-month program where I could gain my national certification. In 2023, I finished my coursework and obtained my NCPI accreditation.
While on this journey I started getting back in touch with myself, my mind, my body, and my emotions. This was a turning point for me in my healing as I had grown up in an extremely abusive environment. This is where I started reading about somatic work. I came to the understanding that my body held a lot of the trauma and if I was going to continue to heal, I needed to release it. But how?
I personally have found deep healing through Pilates and somatic work. These two things are a powerful combination. In Pilates we learn how to connect with our body and breath through structured movement, all while building core strength and muscle. In somatic work, we release trauma and pain through deliberate movement.
My passion is to help others reconnect with themselves through movement and the release of trauma from the body.
